Missed the ending of this movie

My tivo didn't record this all so can anyone tell me the very end? What I last saw was that he got his job back and things looked hunky dory. I think he also suspected some older lady of being "a friend". Then Demi said "poor guy I almost feel sorry for him, he doesn't know what is coming". So did he get fired after all?
