Sanders has no cause

After watching the movie several times, I have come to the conclusion that Sanders really has so cause to scream sexual harrassment or such, because he didn't take proper proceedtures to stop it, at first....

During the seduction scene, Meredith kisses him and he doesn't pull away. He even closes his eyes and "enjoys" it. He only says "No, no, no, no" so many times, but he doesn't stand up like a man and stop it. Even when she takes his hand and places them on her buttocks, what does he do? He squeezes them! Sanders enjoyed it all up until the last moment and frankly, hearing the tape, I wouldve come to the conclusion that he was not a victim. You heard moaning and groaning, even Sanders saying "You wanna get ***ked?" out loud! Geez!!! Meredith also going "yeah, yeah baby" as he rips her panties off and kisses her breasts.

what the hell?!? THAT'S sexual harassment??? I still believe Meredith was the predator and the bad guy, but Sanders was an idiot because he didn't stop it the second she kissed him.

Whats your opinion?

NO means NO. Isn't that what they always say when a man is the aggressor? Goes both ways!!!

reply

"Goes both ways!!! "

unfortunately this common sense principle of natural justice goes out the window is this (and other) types of situations

Oh, please. If he didn't really want it, he could have easily pushed her away, he had the much superior body strength, while women who are harassed do not have the same luxury. This movie was a pathetic attempt at showing that a man can be the victim of sexual harassment. Only there's really no such thing as a woman forcing herself on a sober, unbound man - superior body strength, as I said.

Goes both ways. If a woman "didn't really want it" she could just push him away or scream for help. To think that only men can be the perpetrators of sexual harassment is sexist and of the NOW mentality. They always claim that with the man being the boss HE is in control of the situation. Meredith was the boss, therefore SHE was in control of the situation. Only the NOW mentality wants it both ways.

Jade; You're neglecting consideration of the couple's...ahem...'configuration'.

When 'his' is between 'her' teeth...'his' superior strength and body mass is immaterial; totally over-trumped by 'her' 'position of authority'.

To use another famous quote;

"There is no 'power struggle', I have it all"

Meredith set Tom up for a sexual encounter in his office which he did not want. Regardless of whether he pushed her away immediately or right before he had sex with her, he turned her down. A person can back out at any moment before sex. And Sanders had made his protests known from the start. He didn't push her, but she was the boss with the power, regardless of his physical power.
And Meredith was vindictive towards him after he turned her down... making him look foolish in meetings and accusing HIM of harassment.

He gets accused of sexual harassment first, then he counter accuses, since Meredith was leaning more in that direction than he did.

As for physical prowess, that was brought up in his meeting with Phillip(something along these lines):

Phillip: C'Mon Tom, you're a man. You could have stopped her.

Tom: Christ, Phil, she's on the stairmaster an hour a day. She could kick both our asses.

You're momma's so ugly she made a mime scream.
