That's the way love is-Del Shannon
Nitro-Dick Dale
New Shade of Blue-Bobby Fuller Four
Rumble, Jack the Ripper-Link Wray
James Intveld(who actually did the music and vocals for the scene where 'Kit' is performing), and others.

This is a great movie I love it, its my favorite.
Check out the true story, Charles Schmid, the Pied Piper of Tucson.
This movie needs to be on DVD. There are deleted scenes, on the blue cover 1994 release of Dead Beat on VHS, on the back there is a scene of 'Kit' on the ground of the desert in a jail suit with handcuffs and the police standing over him. This, if you have ever read the true story, is when real life Charles Schmid took authorities out to the desert and actually unearthed the skull of Alleen Rowe (Penelope Stone in the film Dead Beat) with his own manacled hands.
Lemme know if you are looking for ne other songs of the movie, I have most of them.

cool glad u finally got it man, great song. I have Del Shannon's greatest hits, you could probably get it from a record store.
The film is awesome, I love Dead Beat, deffinetly one of the best.
There were 2 other films based on the true story of Charles Schmid before Dead Beat came out, Dead Beat is the best and is dead on with the facts, everything that happens in dead beat actually happend in real life.
but the other 2 films were the Todd Killings and Smooth Talk.
they are really bad, but still based on Charles Schmid, not even close to as good as Dead Beat.
