The way Robert G Durant lived thru a crash that was impossible to live thru
You mean in the same way that Westlake is given super human-strength through bad science? You mean in the same way that he's able to perfectly mimic other people's voices by listening to them through a Dictaphone and despite having no lips? These films (yes, including the original) are silly, fun (if tragic and dark) pieces of melodrama. Melodrama.
that Neeson wasn't in them
Eh, I prefer Vosloo in the role. He imbues the character with a sagely weariness that's totally befitting of the character after a few years of living like he has.
that Vosloo's accent was horrible
...as was Neeson's in the original film. Did you seriously not noticing the Irish slipping through every which way? Besides, if an actor can't do an accent well (as Liam couldn't) then I'd prefer them not to bother with it at all. Vosloo made the right choice.
Vosloo had no real rage in either of the sequels
To be completely fair, for the films to move forward at all, I feel like they
had to tone down that aspect of the character. I can't at all picture Neeson's Westlake ever being stable enough to work with anyone in finding a breakthrough for synthetic skin. Vosloo made it work well imo.
or that the movies had no budget and looked like it was made for t.v.
I can't argue that. That's indeed a crying shame about the sequels.
It got a 4.5 and 3 got a 4.2 out of 10 so that should tell you something.
I'm sorry but anyone who uses an IMDB rating to argue their point just sounds like a dumbass.
