The end..

OK i didnt get the ending of this...after they finally kill mcdowell and they are shown holding each other...then it cuts to him playing with his dog on some beach quoting some kinda author about haveing 2 lives to learn from your mistakes. ok.,...but that didnt answer whether they both ended up together. honestly, the fact that they show him with his dog and not her, says to me that he probably ditched her at some point, seeing as how she was probably only useing him as a kind of boy toy and he caught wind of it.
