What's the location this movie was filmed. I can't seem to find that info. In a parking lo scene it looks like southdale mall in minnesota. Is it?

I heard someone said it was in South Africa like the first one. But this looks more like USA?

It was definitely South Africa. The same company that funded the first movie also funded the sequel.

There are a lot of areas in South Africa that were made to look like the U.S. Ex-patriots who say they're leaving the U.S. behind can't always leave the U.S. behind and thus build the areas around them to look like home.

You're close in thinking it's Minnesota.

Well......actually....you're nowhere close.

This movie was filmed in South Africa.

NuWorld Services (PTY), which is now NuWorld Industries (PTY), funded the film back in 1994. This was done in order to get the movie to be filmed in South Africa as NuWorld is a South African company.

The Julian Laxton Band is the band that was playing in the bar in the movie. That song and the guitar playing by Laxton was the best thing about the film. I wish I could find it on single. Anyway, Laxton is from South Africa.

Also, the IMDB page says the filming location was in South Africa and nowhere else. While the movie was filmed there, it was most likely edited in the U.S.
