IMDB closing the message boards - want to say bye to this Crow board

Hearing the news that IMDb is no longer going to have message boards....I just wanted to say it's been a total pleasure to post on this board for The Crow.

You are all such great people here, I've really enjoyed discussing the movie with all of you guys. This film seems to attract really good people, and we have no serious trolling on here, just a lot of good discussions about The Crow.

It's been a pleasure.

And, if I can find how to do so, I want to archive the thread about "The Cow"!  

I haven't posted on this board in years. Sadly my older posts were purged. But from what I remember this board has always been sociable and provided a few good laughs over the years.

The board will be missed.

Though I've loved the film since its release, I only started coming to this particular board very recently -- but I love it here because as you say it's so sociable, and yes I've had some amazing laughs here. The people here seem really good, compared to some other boards. I'll miss this one.

I also loved this movie from the beginning. Though I haven't had much to say about it, I've often enjoyed reading others' thoughts on it. Now that that's going away I do feel sad.

I can only conclude I'm paying off karma at a vastly accelerated rate.

Yes, crazyivanova, even for those who maybe don't post much but like to read the posts and thoughts of others, it's sad that this is all going away.

I see some people on other boards talking about going over to Rotten Tomatoes -- apparently they have message boards for each movie there, but they're not used much.

If we all end up over there, maybe they will be, and maybe we'll all see each other again! If I go anywhere I will probably use my same username as here. Hope maybe some of you guys might be around other Crow boards out there.

I was too, except I discovered that the guy who set it up has allowed in one of the worst trolls who was doxxing people on an IMDb board I now won't go to.
I don't think I can join that Reddit IMDb community now.

Yeah I'm a bit concerned about that one. I like the people who created it, and they assured me they were going to keep an eye on the person, but I'm very unsure of being there with that guy around.

I don't want it to put off anyone though -- it's just he's messed with me before -- he probably won't mess with you or anyone else who hasn't already had history with him.

Ohh -- there's this thread on Music General -- we are gathering together links to all the boards people have started or are suggesting, there's even one that mimics the look of IMDB:

I tried "Printscreen" and it seems to have worked -- I pasted into Paint and saved the file as a jpeg image. I'm a sentimental fool but oh that thread is full of belly-laughs!
