'I don't want my son making cookies.'

What other movie could have this line? Feel free to submit your ideas.

I laughed my ass off at that line, hillarious! The other part was when she walked into the bedroom while he's going nuts working out in his underwear lol

This is by no means saying I condone spousal abuse, I just felt the movie was extremely funny during most scenes involving Johnson.

reply

lol I agree and that beard he got and him having a toy truck for his kid before he was killed, like to show he was a "good father" come oN!

reply

That part made me feel bad

How about the scene when he is going nuts after bringing her home from the shelter? When he says something like, "It's ok, Donna. We're just having some marital problems!"

reply

I wish this would come back on lifetime lol

I love when he would call her in the middle of the night with his list of food, what to wear ect

The beard on brad face look so fake and when he was crying it look he was trying to hard

I just saw the movie today for the first time. I thought it was good. I wonder what's the percentage of spousal abuse in police officers' homes.

I don't know the percentage. But the few people that I knew that were married to police officers said there was a lot of "control" going on, the typical "cop 24/7" type of thing.

One girl I knew that was married to a prison guard (not exactly the same, but close) was actually in fear of having one little thing out of place in the house when her husband got home from work.

I cannot say for sure that there was abuse involved, but there was definitely fear in her voice over a couple children's toys being left out and a magazine on the coffee table.

I just recorded this film the othe day on Lifetime because I dig Jaclyn.
Was pleasantly surprised to catch an unintentionally funny
film. The whole "Cookies" scene is great too because of the pillows they stuffed in his sweatshirt to make him look buff. It looks like that bit that Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon did on SNL as the brothers that would "Pump You Up". Almost MST3K material. You should check out Wild Thing with Kathleen Quinlan, and The Thing With Two Heads with Rosie Greer. Both great unintentionally funny films. The Thing With Two Heads being the greatest unintentionally funny film of all time.

He wasn't really making the cookies. He just asked his mom what they were and looked in the oven. I thought Dennis would say that line the minute after his son was looking at the cookies. He waited 10 minutes, and THEN said it.

reply

He probably didn't say it right away because, he didn't want his son to know that he was abusing the son's mommy
