Derrick Bell, Obama's inspiration, writes B movie script

Derrick Bell is in the news because he is the subject of a speech Obama made defending him at a protest at Harvard in 1990s. Bell wrote a short story, which became part one of this trilogy on HBO.

Bell was one of the chief proponents of Critical Race Theory, a radical doctrine that holds that American legal institutions—including our civil rights laws—perpetuate white supremacy.
