Ray and Whoopi kissing

In the movie, Corrina Corrina, a lot of people were freaking out about them kissing each other because they can't fathom why a perfect specimen of Ray Liotta would kiss somebody like Whoopi Goldberg. But back in slavery times, the Ray Liottas was raping the Whoopi Goldbergs! It was the Rays and the Whoopis that brought me and a lot of other African Americans here in the first place!

Thomas Jefferson had a very sordid affair with one of his slaves Sally Hemings.

Two questions: Is that in the movie? Did Sally think it was sordid?

This wasn't what I was expecting to read when I clicked on your post, I found you definitely went overboard with the whole slavery and rape topic. I thought the kissing between Ray and Whoopi was so beautiful and genuine. I thought it was really sweet how after he gave her a big kiss he kept giving her a lot of little kisses on her face because he knew it made her feel good about herself and showed how much he cared about her. He really didn't care what she looked like because he loved her more for the person she was inside and he didn't care what anyone one else thought about it.

Thank you so much for this. I loved those little kisses too. Very sweet :-)

It would have been more believable if it were Halle Berry or a beautiful black woman. Whoopi Goldberg is NOT beautiful. Or even if it was a fonkey dude playing Manny. But I agree hot Ray and butchy Whoopi is what did this movie in.

^^Looks are subjective. Ted Danson, Lyle Trachtenberg, David Claessen, Alvin Martin, Frank Langella and other good-looking men like them obviously found Whoopi attractive enough to date and marry her.

Little gold woman? Does that mean you're outrageously beautiful, little as in petite, and with golden tresses? Did you watch it to see a drama of human life, or expecting to see models strutting up and down the catwalk?
