I thought the movie was very good

I thought it was good too. A wild, beautifully excessive erotic thriller that people seem to be approaching from a completely inappropriate angle. To me (as outlined in a fine article which I just read) it was truly more of a giallo - in terms of story, tone, direction, production design, music... - than the self-serious endeavour people mistake it for. The film claims no depth. The excellent main theme even sounds straight out of Eurovision.

It is ridiculous, yes, but all the better for it, and I don't mean that in a 'guilty pleasure' sort of way - the style seemed intentional and the film seemed like it knew what it was. People just don't seem to embrace it.

I was hoping things would work out for her. She was a good friend of mine.

Well, it's your personnal opinion but it is actually a really bad movie.
