I watched this with my dad when I was a little boy and thought it was hilarious. I watched it today as a 30 year old and still find it hilarious. Martin short does a tremendous job in this movie. The uncle is good too. Great movie.

It is still funny to this day with it's timeless humor. I know other threads gave grief for Martin Short playing a child but that is what makes this movie such unique gold. It just wouldn't be the same type of hilarity if Clifford was played by a child.

My best friend and I both write Comedy and this movie is one of our all-time favorites. This and Cabin Boy for some reason.
shareCould this movie be classified as a cult classic nowadays? I don't remember it getting much attention when it was first released and made very little money on release I assume. Its not regarded as a classic apart from fans (like myself) who hold more and more regard for it as the years pass.
I purchased it on DVD 10 or 11 years back not having seen it since 94 and it was still as fresh in my memory then as it was back in the 90s .
 
I saw it in 1994 and saw it again today and I thought it was hilarious and found myself laughing out loud. It was better than I remembered. Martin short was adorable!
