Susan Sarandon carried this movie so hard

The plot was so *beep* ridiculous at times, but I still don't regret watching because of her amazing performance.

Kid knows where the body is, kid tells the FBI, FBI puts him on Witness Protection and there, movie is over before the 20 minute mark. Well, we can't have this, that's not a movie people will watch, I understand. So to stretch this out, they have the kid make bad decision after bad decision, sometimes entering moronic territory.(Deranged killer pursuing me at the hospital? Better run to the morgue than yell for the police officers 20 feet away). Until he finalizes does exactly what he should have done 80 minutes ago, telling the truth and entering Witness Protection Program.

"Reverend" Roy was also supposed to be this big hotshot attorney with an entire team behind him and yet he got played again and again by Reggie who is only practicing law for 2 years. This at least helps us admire Reggie a bit more, I guess. Seriously amazing character, and I'm actually surprised how she ended up in such a mediocre movie.

Not even going to comment about Barry "The Blade" Muldano. Dude could have been a Police Academy villain.

Just wanted to comment on one thing, the kid, Mark, doesn't trust anyone, especially cops, so he wasn't going to yell to the cops in the hospital. Yes it's a dumb move, but not for his character or story line.

Ephemeron.
