In the trivia section, it states that Harrison Ford ad-libbed that line.

Harrison, please stick to acting, and leave the writing to the writers.

It should be against the law to use "LOL" unless you really did LOL!

It's a fantastic line. I didn't even know it was ad libbed, it made me think Ryan was just trying to make things up to distract Ritter as quickly as he could. It was the first thing he thought of. Seemed very real to me.
