They certainly left that option at the end of this movie. And they had better hurry up. Jack Palance isn't going to be around for too much longer.

Love the first 2 films but to be honest i dont want them to make a third film the reason is i think that making a third film will ruin the first 2 because the frist 2 where good in there own right but a third one will be tacky and do little justice to the first 2.

i totally agree!! (with the first post)... after watching the 2nd one, and seeing how it ended, it would only make sense to continue for a 3rd...anyone know why they didn't??

Crystal is nearly 60 and Palance would have to be wheeled around if they used them again. What's left for them to explore? City Slickers III: Captured in Baghdad.

I hope so. Even though Jack is dead, they could have some other guy play Curly, even though it would never be the same.

Or maybe they could say "DUKE" died on the way to the caves lol curly died in the first i mean try and keep up lol, and personally i think they left it as they did as a difinitive ending they're rich, plot expended

what if it turns out that they have a little brother, and maybe isnce, billy crystals osn in the first 2 would be old enough, they could have him go on an adventure with curly and dukes younger brother, or maybe even, either curly or duke had a long lost son

there was going to be a 3rd one originally (hense the cliffhanger ending), but it was canceled.

Jack Palance died just a year after your post. So I doubt they will.

I think they should make a 3rd one because the 2nd one ended kinda suddenly. I'd like to see what they did with all that gold. But I guess since they got the gold, then there's nowhere really for the film to go apart from seeing them live with lots of money.. maybe Curly's evil son no one knew about could come back and somehow steal all their money back because he thinks it belongs to him and the movie would be about them getting it back

They could do one now. I mean, Billy's in his mid 60s, Daniel Stern is getting up there too. The only downside is that Jack and Bruno are gone, not to mention Noble Willingham, and without Jack Palance, it wouldn't feel the same. I guess it could be about Mitch trying to teach his son the value of life or something, the way Curly taught him?
