Faye Wong was annoying

Short hair, ugly body, ugly clothes, asexual, unfeminine, frivolous, immature. The other actresses compensated somewhat, but having to watch her half the film ruined it for me. Only hipsters and male feminists would like that sort of woman.

Way to generalize the audience (people). And, what is hipsters? Thank God such terms doesn't exist in the UK. My American cousins tried to explained it to us - we just thought it was very stupid and a very limiting term (granted we understood what they meant, and there are all rotten eggs all around - non-"hipsters" included). Anyways, I'm not feminist either (not the bra-burning kind), but Faye Wong was lovable in this film. All I can say is each to their own and whatever sinks your boat will float someone else's.

This happens to be my favourite Wong Kar Wai movie.

Faye Wong was lovable in this film.

Yeah, this.

She was adorable, if a little nuts(reading his letter AND breaking into his home). Definitely a stark contrast to Brigitte Lin's character, but I thought it worked well.

She had that free spirit punky thing going for her, which worked.

The thing I found funny about it is that her personality seemed more in line with Qiwu(the first cop)'s character, while Brigitte Lin's character seemed more in line with 663(Tony Leung's) character. Their asymmetry gave the two stories some..well.. symmetry. In some weird way.

Yes, she did have short hair. That's all that I agree with.

hahaha I'm a huge fan but I agree ur comment to some extent ...only hipsters and male feminists...in fact, she is a very important gay icon in china.

I agree. Her character was kind of cute but pretty annoying if you really think about it. How many of you would want a stranger coming into your house & moving things around? I know she was doing it to get the cop she was in love with out of his funk but she was basically a stalker. If a guy did that, you all would want to throw the book at him & string him up by his balls for invading a woman's space/home. But because Faye had a pixie cut & acted like an adorkable hipster you'll give her a pass? I never understood how she could ever expect that cop to fall for her, especially not when he's used to hot chicks like his ex. And Faye becoming a stewardess was completely unbelievable. I can see her becoming a barrista at some hipster coffee joint in Hong Kong but there's no way she'd be accepted into any airline's stewardess program.

She was not basically, she was a stalker.

She was annoying.

OP sounds like a far right macho douchebag.
