The highlight of the film

Just re-watched this after 8 years and loved it a lot more than before. Both parts flow seamlessly. But the highlight of the film for me was the ending of part 1 when cop 1 finally gets a win after all those moments of heartbreak and yearning. Seeing him with a smile on his face was enough to melt even my ice cold heart.
The whole film is such a vibe.
