What a magical scene when Faye was.....

Rearranging his apartment w/ the Dreams song background. Just wow.

Giving you a slow-clap, Señor Chang style.

That was magical. Definitely one of the best parts of the movie.

reply

Every moment she was on screen.

We could have high times if you'll abide

reply

Yes!
The first part of the movie was hard going for me when I first watched it, but the second story really got my interest. When this part rolled around I finally thought I understood why so many people loved it, and I was on a big high by the time the credits came.
One of the most fun sequences I can think of.

reply

Brilliant.

What are you doing here?', she demands.

Cop 663: What do you mean……I live here!!'

Now you shout and scare me so much I can't move my leg,' Faye complains. 'Help me to the couch….oh, oh, it hurts!!…….

What was even better, is that it was actually Faye singing the cover of Cranberries "Dreams".

reply

YES! Her version is sweeter and fits perfectly in the film.

Just pure awesomeness.

If you haven't seen Faye perform live, you should. She is really good.

That is so cute!

The comments section is facepalm worthy though.

Oh, goooood for you. And how was it? I hope it was *beep* good, because it's useless now, isn't it?

reply

Yes, that is her singing. She's also a big pop star in HK/China. However, it's not just a simple cover of the original Cranberries song. The lyrics are different. In Chinese, the title is called "Dream Person." I like both versions but I have a particular soft spot for Faye's version just b/c it's so connected with this film.

reply

Agreed. Dreams by the Cranberries has always been one of my favorite songs, and I was already really loving this film, so when it came on it made it even better.

"We are the dreamer who dreams and then lives in the dream. This is true for the entire universe."
