THE BLURAY IS...

AMAZING!!!!! Best I've EVER seen it look, and that includes VHS, LD and DVDs from several countries. The 1.78:1 aspect ratio gives it a theatrical feel although it was filmed full-frame (1.33:1), and you do get to see slightly more than the old 1.85:1 DVD. Also, the sound, although it says 2.0 stereo on the back of the cover, is actually DTS HD master audio!!! It doesn't say it on the disc at all, but when I put it into my player and hit the audio button, I was pleasantly surprised to see the audio was, in fact DTS HD master 2.0 audio - it sounds amazingly crisp and well-rounded out of all of my 5.1 surround speakers and subwoofer. Echo Bridge did a bang-up job on this transfer. I'm looking forward to getting the other COTC BluRay sequels now (although the other films, aside from the original, don't compare). Can't wait to see what the Hellraiser sequels look like as well. I'm still waitingon my Halloween 6/H20 double feature disc, but I got the H20 standalone and it's not as bad as people might say (although the Alliance Canadian disc is better). Good job Echo Bridge!!

I've never seen a Bly Ray, was there any improvement in the corn monster at the end of the film? Or did it still look really bad?
