From humble starts...

When darkness overcomes the heart, Lil' Slugger appears...

reply

That is cool Charlize Theron was in this movie and that it was her first.

Peace,

reply

Hey, Naomi Watts was in COTC part 4. Alot of people start out doing crappy and\or horror films. Jennifer Aniston was in Leprechaun. It was her first non-made for tv movie.

reply

That is cool, I did not know that Jenifer Aniston was in Leprechaun.

charlize theron is in the movie also at about 1:16:40, but only for a second, getting up from the ground.

reply

Yeah, you can see her only a few times very briefly almost at the end of the movie. The earliest she appears in the church mass (around 0:52:00). More times she appears at the very end with the crowd and when she gets pinned down by the "evil corn roots", I think she dies since they don't show her after that anymore. You can see stills of her from the movie here http://picasaweb.google.com/sladevader/CharlizeTheron

reply

Thanks for the picasa link man! Charlize is stunning as ever!

And Johnny Depp's first feature film was "A Nightmare on Elm Street"

reply

Yeah, but aNoES is one of the better horror films

reply

Yes, and have a guess: what's Eva Mendes first film?..... Children Of The Corn V: Fields Of Terror!!

reply

I could be wrong, just me thinking, but was she the girl who ended up getting the tentacle/root thingy in her panty hamster area? Sh*t's been confusing me since i watched it two weeks ago.

Yeah, just passed that part. I'd say she was just raped to death... Gotta take some hits for that Oscar...

reply

And Kevin Spacey was a subway thief in his first movie !

reply

Yeah, it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-her moment. I wonder what she thinks of this film, looking back now...

It's always funny until someone gets hurt and then it's just hilarious!

And it's probably the only film of hers I'll ever see. No offense to Charlize, but the rest of her filmography doesn't really look like my cup of tea. I would be proud to have such a great horror movie be my film debut, though. Has she ever talked about it in interviews?

Death lives in the Vault of Horror!

reply

Yes. She did talk about it very briefly when she was on Actor's Studio with James Lipton. She said that all she remembers about it is that she was running through the corn fields. That's pretty much it. :)

reply

Not really unusual, actors who got their start in horror.
Low budget = low risk, less expected of an actor who doesn't have to be great, since so much of a horror is simplistic, sex-drive based...
