Historical inaccuracies

About Olivença: in the beginning of the movie, the narrator says that "Carlota and Francisca set out from Madrid and went West through Toledo and Badajos and then continued down to the frontier of Olivença and Évora, where the Portuguese and the Spanish world separated." Olivença wasn't, and it still isn't today, part of Spain. If this was said when the territory was forcibly ceded to Spain later, it would have been okay, but not when Carlota was sent to marry the Portuguese prince and that territory was still part of the Portuguese Kingdom. During the Napolean Invasions, Spain had agreed in dividing the Portuguese territory with France. And it were those invasions that led to the making of this movie. After almost 200 years, Spain is still violating the 1815 Treaty of Vienna.
