Very Familiar Yet Different

I have always hated reunion movies, tv shows where one or more of the characters are so different from the way they were played originally. That didn't happen with the characters of Cagney and Lacey. Of course there were differences as expected since this was years after the series, but it essentially was the same characters I had grown to love watched and respect. Not finished with seeing the movie, but I'm really liking the plot and the relationship between the two ladies. The rest of the cast had done their roles great, too.
