4 people in theater

I remember seeing Cabin Boy and there were 4 people in the theater... And 3 of them were: me, my neice, and nephew.

No this isn't Ingmar Bergman's Sjunde inseglet, Det. But wasn't meant to be. Is it entertaining? Yes, yes it is.

I can beat that. I saw this movie in the theater when I was 14 and it was just me and my best friend. Been one of my favorites since.

It should be kept in mind that being a popular movie doesn't make it any good. There are plenty of box office hits...that suck, and there are misunderstood gems like Cabin Boy that die at the boxoffice. Some movies become popular years after they were box office failures, might happen with Cabin Boy, but, like most of Chris Elliots humor, either you get it or you don't. With the success of Anchorman-The Legend of Ron Burgundy, it makes you wonder whether Cabin Boy might not have been a much bigger movie if it had been released today.

God's a kid with an ant farm, lady. He's not planning anything.

I can beat that, I went to see Halloween III Season Of The Witch when it was released and I was the only one in the theater. This was in Centralia, WA at the Fox theater, which might be torn down by now.

Anyway, I always like Cabin Boy, it's so stupid it's funny. One of the funny things is they make no effort to be historically accurate, Cabin Boy rides in a limo for god's sake. The talking cupcake was almost like a Krofft character, and the whole thing with Sharky was beyond stupid. Chris Eliot does these kinds of characters well, I liked him in Scary Movie and There's Something About Mary as well as his stupid t.v. show Get A Life. You don't have to think very much, just check your brain at the door and be stupid for awhile, that's what I like about this movie.

Not quite as entertaining as an autopsy, but does have better music.

Nothing exists more beautifully than nothing.

My family and I went too, I was little but I do remember that there was quite a few people there, and they "seemed" to be entertained...

but then again, I'm not really sure...
