As the sub-title suggests, this made-for-tv movie is based on the life of Margaret Mitchell, author of Gone With The Wind. If you are familiar with the book then you can see how some of the themes in GWTW come from Mitchell's life experience. The movie, based on her work, is an abbreviated form of the book.
