scene in the bath house a reference to julius caesar

in the scene where David meets Julian in the bath house. Julian has the towels wrapped around himself like a toga. For a brief moment, the camera cuts to a shot of two men whispering to each other in the corner also with towels wrapped around like togas. Was this a subtle nod from Woody Allen to Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar when Brutus and Cassius conspire to murder Caesar.
