Just figured it out

This movie is a retelling of "A Christmas Carol". Both protagonists are given visions on how their life will end if they didn't change their ways and apparently die at the end of it. And like Ebenezer, when Michael comes to. He finds out that it was all just a vision/simulation. They look out the window to rejoice that everything is back to normal and are given a second chance at life (thus completing their character arc).

Before anyone types "wasn't it obvious!?" Give me a break! I was just a kid when I saw this. I now have the benefit of analysing it from a mature perspective of a grown man of 38 😁
