After watching Hostel (2006) couldn't help but think that I'd covered a lot of the same territory in Ray Brady's Boy Meet's Girl (1994), sexy women get a guy tied into a chair in a basement before lots of very nasty torture ensued. Hostile is more like a standard action film that decided to take a darker route, though BMG goes an awful lot further.

shareHard Candy borrows from a variety of sources. Audition, In A Glass Cage, etc. make Hostel and Hard Candy look like the near-family friendly cartoons they are. =D As for this movie? I haven't seen it yet, but I've been intrigued by it for years. One of these days I'll plunk down the ca$h and finally check it out, as extreme stuff like this makes me very happy...
