My dad was an extra in this movie.

My dad was working in Selma Alabama on the old military base that they filmed this movie on. He had to shave his head so that he would look like a GI if he was on camera. That was in 1990. Our family thought the movie would never be made because we never heard of it in the theater. Then one day I was in block bluster and rented it. The only screen time my dad got was when Tommy Lee Jones was in the hanger getting the call from his wife and it accidentally broadcasted on the loud speakers. My dad was down on the floor of the hanger welding so we couldn't recognize him. He said that the movie crew told him to "make a lot of sparks and flashes" as if he was working.
This message has no opinion about the movie. I just wanted to post this.
Carry on.
