This Is probably one of the best sports movies ever made but nobody cares because the stars are real athletes and not actors.

Did you see the extended CAST list? There are guys like Allan Houston, Rodney Rogers and Calbert Cheaney playing on the other teams. Next time I see this movie I'm going to try to spot those guys.

Well unless you are into Basketball, I am not sure what you see in the movie. Bad acting? its about college basketball and money and manipulation. Whats so good about the movie?

i'm tempted to say best sports movie ever made, hands down. i absolutely love this movie. it's got so much raw passion and feeling of an actual sporting event. i've been asking politely for years now, when is it coming to dvd? and i'm starting to get mad......

And it looks like it is one of director Billy Friedkin's only good movies in recent memory. Do rent The French Connection, that's probably as cool as he got (with a mostly real car chase at the end)

just got mine today, was gonna get it off the internet but saw it at my local movie store for 9 bucks....i am a happy camper

OK, just saw The Hunted, and to be fair, that is a remarkable return to form.

I really liked this film. Sure the acting was bad, but imagine actors trying to play basketball. That would have been worse, because the basketball wouldn't have seemed real. Instead, we have a main character who is a great actor (I loved Nick Nolte in this role) and basketball players that can actually play. I like that trade-off. It's not perfect and not the greatest sports film ever, but a very solid 7/10 and a good movie, IMO.

Exactly it's my favorite sports movie and I'm watching it on epix in HD in October of 2017 it's fucking underated as fuck

I thought it was a decent film but that last speech by Nick Nolte was the best part.
