Just bringing in Neon would turn a .500 team into a ranked team.

And I know this is not your point, but the pressure to win sometimes makes people go too far to ensure a turnaround

I was just thinking that, Neon didn't need the car

It almost feels like it was something added late in the production because otherwise it just doesn't make sense. They had to put dirt on Neon somehow but in the Real World, obviously he'd be enough.
