Subspecies is one of those great low-budget films...

Despite being 'under the radar' so to speak, Subspecies really pulled off some great moments, particularly in introducing our favorite-fingered vampire, Radu.

Unfortunately, it's been years since I saw the third entry of the Subspecies family, so I may be speaking from my 'teenage girl' mindset's memory when I comment that I didn't like how Michelle totally blew off poor Radu. Wah. Dudes, he SO killed his 'mummy' for her.

I like all five entries to the series which includes the "Vampire Journals" spin off. And one thing is for sure they all have the same quality atmosphere to them. Something that a lot of Vampire movies out there don't have.

To me "Vampire Journals" was my favorite of the series. But I enjoyed every one of the movies.

Somehow , I just heard of this series in 2023, about 30 years after it’s released. It’s very good, not sure how it fell out of history
