MY favourite (wierd) part is when Sgt. Brody looks at the dead woman in the bath and sez to her: "Tell me who did it.... okay don't want to talk, well it's your funeral".
I also absolutely love Aiden Quinn and found the violin music brilliant!
Why did the eye doctor go to her apartment and insist that she leave right then to visit a family member of the eye donor? Why wasn't the doctor with her?
Was Emma responcible for the detectives death? If she had stayed with the detective till he parked? Why didn't he just park on the street with his lights going instead of going in a creepy dark garage? Don't even get me started on Sgt. Brody's chauvanist behavior. He treats her like sh*t and beats her around and she still loves him? It must be a chick thing.
For rsage-2 : I think Emma's last name was Brody, But if you mean Quinn's character's behavior, I, as a "chick", agree with you and would never go near a violent man again. Some with battered women's syndrome ,tho, do forgive abuse, unfortunately.
shareThis is an old thread but I have to disagree with her allowing his bad treatment of her being a "chick thing". Since when have women said that they liked being treated like *beep*
shareOne of my favorite parts is when the detective is asking Emma in her apartment questions about Valerie, the murdered girl, and Emma first says, "Well, I know she was a noisy lover." Then he asks her if Valerie had a boyfriend, she answers, "Yes." Then he asks, "Do you have a name for this guy?" And she stares at him and says, completely deadpan, "Oh Baby."
shareI thought that was funny too!
And I really like the addition of the female lead's character being a tremendous violinist and all of the violin music as well as her band being in an Irish pub-- a bow to the Irish Aiden Quinn...

Two words: "Picket fences"
I haven't seen this movie in years but I still reference "picket fences" all of the time.
“I was raped by a doctor...Which is, you know... so bittersweet for a Jewish girl!”
I watched this again for the firs time in years. The two parts I remember the most are my two favorite parts of the movie. The first is when she's being interviewed by the blonde woman and she asks her if she's beautiful. The second is, "Is he going to take over ****ing me too?!" Hilarious!
Who cares? He's a cheeseburger.share
