Looking for a Cameo

With Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier as the stars of this film, was anyone else hoping for a cameo appearance by the Men on Film, Blaine Edwards and Antoine Meriwether? They could have worked them into one of the newscasts somewhere don't you think?
