Peter Cook's Last Film? LOL

A man of great satire seems to have ended on a jarringly strange note.

I guess these things can't be controlled.

All hail Cook!

Indeed indeed... Is this film very boring?

I watched it in the meantime. Anyone with an affection for Peter Cook should avoid wasting 2 hours of his life just to see his 20 seconds of dialogue which are not even remotely funny and in which he did not invest anything whatsoever.

I did not like the film at all, but then again I bought and watched it for the sole purpose of seeing Peter Cook. Oh well.

Ah, and all Sean Bean fans can save their money as well. This is strictly about horses all right.

You could not tell that from the cover you moron?

It's nobody's business but ours.

The whole film is told from the point of view of the horse. You hear the horse's thoughts commenting on the course of events in a first-person narrative. If memory serves, there are large segments without human actors at all, just Black Beauty and other horses.

So this is rather like the Australian film "Babe", just that it is not a comedy, but a tragedy.

It is in no way like the British TV series of the seventies.

I think Sean Bean had three minutes screen time, and Peter Cook 20 seconds, and both their scenes are not very interesting; no engaging dialogue, no punchlines, no state-of-the-art acting.

And nothing on the cover prepared me for this. JeterzGirlNJersey, please edit your post.
