WTF!?!? They made a sequel?

WTF man, who in their right mind would do such a thing?

(of course, most retarded directors and film studios today just remake films or make crappy sequels)

What a POS, lol, 'The Birds II: Land's End' lol, wtf, lol

Come on Warner Bros, give us our Blade Runner Special Edition

Granted the sequel couldn't match up to the original, but Land'd End is more of a remake.

And I didn't think it was that bad at all.

I don't understand what you mean by "Like what Alfred Hitchcock did", Hitchcock only ever made one remake that I am aware and that was of his own film "The Man Who Knew Too Much" and even then he was reluctant but was in mate because of a contract he was bound to Paramount with.

If he did make any other that I'm not aware of they definitely weren't his masterpieces like Psycho, Rear Window, The Birds, North by Northwest, Strangers on a Train, Vertigo, To Catch a Thief, The 39 Steps, shall I go on?

I agree with the person who said something to the affect that if they continue to remake his films people will fail to appreciate Hitchcock's genius. A friend of mine was talking to me about movies, I have something of a reputation of a film geek, which is I'm sorry to say quite deserved.

I mentioned that Hitchcock was one of the best directors, she'd never heard of him and asked about him, so I said:
"He made mostly thrillers. Some of the best ever, I like the older ones because they were more suggestive, I think its scarier, now they focus too much on special affects and gore which I find more comic than scary"
"What did he make?"
"North by Northwest, The Birds, Vertigo and my favourite one is Psycho."
"PSYCHO! REALLY? I watched that with Steph and it was so bad, it didn't scare me at all, it was rubbish. Vince Vaugn was rubbish."

I laughed at her and told her to watch Anthony Perkins and see how he measures up.

Old and new Psycho was both BORING.

...the original will always be classic. The new version is a brilliant p!sstake on the whole Hollywood re-imagining crap. I mean, Gus V.S. shot the damn thing frame for frame. Kinda like saying "what's the point in remaking
a Hitchcock film, but the studio wants me to do this so I'll give them the exact same movie, only this time in color and with Vince Vaughn!!!" A truly subversive film about the vacuous times we live in....OK I'm kidding. I've never seen it, but I like that theory..

reply

I haven't seen this but it looks even worse than Hitchcock's awful film 'The Birds' (possibly his worst in my mind).

"Nothings gonna change my world!"
