the true story about the movie betrayed by love

I saw the movie first then read the book. The movie is very good, but the book tells of course some of the true facts of the woman and man portrayed in this movie. I always want to know about the real people that the movie is about, I went online and I got a ton of info on the man that did the real life killing of Susan Daniels Smith (Mark Putnam), but the true victim, Susan Daniels Smith, and her children of course, even her ex husband and her family, I only found one website. I just wondered if anyone had any info on these people, or if they were just long and since forgotton? This crime took place in Kentucky, I live in West Virginia, probably a few hours from there, and it just kind of interested me. So, if anyone has info, please share, thanks!!!
