oh my god i loved this movie as a kid . still i remembered it but didn't know what it was called. all i know is i loved the movie but i also think it scared ne a little.

Although the movie lacks action somewhat,
it' s of careful realization : the relifting of
the story is good ( Jack' s good-ideas pocket tape recorder),
the decors are funny-looking, and espc it has Stuart Pankin
as the ill-tempered giant.
Overall it's a family movie kids can enjoy in all
innocence, without having their pure minds despoiled
by p0litically c0rrect meSSages. As it' s too often
the case today,outside of the Classic Cartoons programs,
with the disguised-as-junk filth dished out by the shovelful
from the Disney Channel.
That's too the reason why the movie is no longer shown on this
supposedly kids' channel : no filth in it.
Poor good Mr. Walt !!!
