I'm just curious... I noticed that Taylor Nichols stammers a bit through out this film and I'm not familiar enough with his other stuff to have a comparitive frame of reference. Is that just the delivery of his lines? Or does he really have a bit of a stutter?
It's very pronounced when he's telling Montserrat that she's "perceptive".
Both. During the comentary on Metropolitan he mentions he stammered during that audition and Stillman added that to the character. His character in this movie is based loosly on his character in Metropolitan and therefore the stammer carried over.

I saw this actor recently and he spoke with no perceptible stutter.
I've seen him in Murder She Wrote and never heard him stutter. Or it could be that if he does, it's so subtle that it's not all that noticeable. It could be that he stutters once in a while in real life but don't we all? I have done so on occasion (ok, only twice in my lifetime) if I'm really nervous or caught off guard.
