One of the weirdest rom coms i've ever seen. very serious, very dark, the majority of which was totally about politics and international affairs, a guy got shot for God's sake! what the hell kind of comedy was this supposed to be?! i was duped! a total political film masked as a romantic comedy....

A "romantic comedy?" It was a social satire on two Americans who were working but clearly out of place, in a 80's cosmopolitan city in Europe. It's comedy, along the lines of "Risky Business," or the two other Stillman films.

Yeah, I don't see much in it either. The main character never really changed. Same old annoying nerd (a real nerd) who somehow works in marketing.
