I swear to God i saw a trailer once for 'Baby's trip to china'/

I kid you NOT. I know how weird this sounds and i know that they never made the sequel, but there was possibly some way that the producers began production on the film, came out with a teaser trailer, and then after the first film bombed they just completely went away and scrapped the movie. Anyways, enough of me talking, let me tell you the story.....

Now i was REALLY REALLY young when this happened, possibly 2 - 4, i can't remember, but the image is still in my head. I remember my dad rented me a kid's movie (don't remember the one) and before the movie began, the teaser trailer to "Baby's trip to china" came on. It went like this:

There was a voice over of a man talking, two parents (the father a nerdy looking man with glasses and a suit, the mother with a big hat on)are in the middle of china with a baby carrige. The man is talking about how this couple is in for an adventure when the camera switches to the carrage (we are behind it) and the head of a baby girl pops out with a lollipop. She smiles at the parents and the parents smile back at her (the camera is now on a low angle, therefore it is the baby's POV). Then the screen goes black and it sayed: Baby's trip to china.

Now, there is a possibility that i am confusing this trailer with ANOTHER movie, hey, i was 2- 4 years old at the time, but i mean, it HAD to have been that. At the end of baby's day out the baby whips out a book called baby's trip to china and the baby girl on the cover is the EXACT same kid in the teaser trailer.

If ANYONE knows what i am talking about, PLEASE post back! I KNOW i'm not crazy and i KNOW i definately saw this teaser trailer before a movie once.
Let me know if you have any clue what i am talking about!!

Since it's been a year and a half, I figured it's be nice if SOMEONE responded to you; anyway, no, to answer your question, I cannot confirm or deny what you've described. I only want to say that I believe you and that I don't think you're lying or delusional. It is possible you're confusing it with another movie, but I also like the theory you have about the filmakers starting production on the film and shooting enough material for a teaser and then scrapping it for whatever reason.

I'm in my mid-twenties and saw Baby's Day Out in the theatres and it still is one of my favorite movies, believe it or not, and would totally go see a sequel to this flick if only out of curiosity. Because I always liked this movie so much I still half-wish someone would someday make a Baby's Trip To China and hopefully with Joe Mantegna, Joey Pants and Brian Haley returning as the three guys. But after all these years, it's probably never going to happen.

Hey not sure if my comment is still relevant but I sorta kinda know what you're talking about with the trailer! I have a faint memory of that as well but I can't fully say. Have you found out anything since you've posted?

It's probably true, because they're really planing to make a sequel, but got canceled. Here's from the trivia section; "There was plans for a sequel called 'Baby's Trip to China', but got canceled".
And I found this: http://moviefanon.wikia.com/wiki/Baby's_Trip_to_China_(1996)

Anyway, I really hope they're making the sequel because as a child I really enjoy this movie, ---and would like to have that nostalgic feeling again :)
Sorry for my English.
