It is typical though that she wasn't meant to be hot in the comic book.
She was pudgy there, you know.
And it was enough to make Obelix call her "this fat girl" and refuse to marry her!
And it goes without saying that she had to be skinny in the movie.
Or he wouldn't have been able to reciprocate her crush on him. :(
Sure, this movie gave the girl in question more of a personality along with making her more conventionally pretty.
So that is good news.
However, it is very much unfortunate implications that even Obelix can't like a pudgy girl.
