Great movie, good points

This boy was a hero. Yeah I'm sure it's traumatic for anyone to actually kill someone, especially a little boy, but he was defending himself and those scum bags deserved to die. But the boy should have sought counseling right away instead of his dad being overbearing and so macho about it all.

I thought so too, but the parents were apparently too backward to realized he needed professional help.

I agree about the father but you have to remember this took place in the 80s and at that time at least where I lived people were not open about therapy.
