I remember seeing a trailer for this movie back in 1994, and it featured a scene that got deleted. The scene featured Geena and a boy who looked to be about 8 years old. They were sitting on a bench outside, and she asked, "Do you know how long your old mom was in labor with you?" The boy replied, "36 hours." That scene wasn't in the movie. What happened to it, and why was it in the trailer?

Because she had the pink dress on, I'm guessing that this scene happened after she walked away from the baby shower her work friends were throwing for her in an outdoor cafe or restaurant. Angie must have headed to Central Park, sat down on a bench, and had a vision of her child. And then that scene must have been cut. Perhaps she asked him, "Do you know how long your old mother was in labor with you?" because he was telling her all sorts of things about himself and her pregnancy, so she figured he had the answers she wanted. It's just a guess, though.
