Carbon copy of Black Belt (1992)

15 years ago, give or take, a friend and I rented two movies from the local convenience store - Angel of Destruction and Black Belt.

Finished Black Belt and popped in AoD only to find they were the exact same movie with different actors and a female undercover cop instead of a martial arts expert.

What are the chances...

If you want a good laugh try it for yourself.

My sentiments exactly! Roger Corman is notorious for remaking his own movies sometimes within months of each other. He did the same thing with 'Forced to Fight' and 'Live by the Fist;' with 'Black Belt' and 'Angel of Destruction,' sometimes the script is exactly the same, word-for-word in some places. I like them both, but prefer 'Angel of Destruction' because it's a great B exploitation T&A flick like 'Naked Killer.'

I ain't yer pal, dickface.

I watched the 2 movies a couple years from each other, i saw of course that they pretty much had a similar plots, but i didn't tough they where carbon copies of each others. When you look at it, bodyguard/stalker stories have been done many times too...

In any case, Don Wilson is a better fighter for sure, but Maria Ford is a way better actress.

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!

It messes with my brain that anyone would remake a movie as bad as Black Belt!

Given that remakes are almost universally terrible compared to the original, this must be something like... Manos with strippers and bad kung fu.

God damn, I have to go find this film!

But it has to be under £3.50.
