Did anyone watch Andre's story on My Wild Affair on PBS?
Really presented a more complete look at Andre's life with the Goodridges and the town of Rockport, Maine.
shareYeah, just saw it, and came here to see if the movie was related. During the doc, I thought about the movie, which I had always thought was fictional. What a story! I don't really want to see the movie because it'll tarnish a wonderful, beautiful story. They should remake it with the actual unbelievable true events, straight and without embellishment. You don't need Hollywood cliches and stunts. His beautiful daughters are Alice Munro characters. Carradine seems like a good choice to play the guy.
shareIt took a couple viewings, but I finally connected the B&W film clips during the movie credits to the Color clips and caught on that Andre had been real.
And yes, the unvarnished story is much more powerful and wonder-FULL than the fictionalized one.
