Raj Kumar Santoshi's Comedy

Why do you think Raj Santoshi never directed a comedy after AAA??? Was it because it was not a great success? Or was it something else? I think if he can make a movie like AAA, he can do it again. I know he has been brilliant in other genres, and make some fantastic movies, the top ones being Ghayal, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Ghatak, Khakee. But he shoul also try his hand at another comedy movie. I would love to watch another one like AAA. It was so refreshingly different.

I think that RKS never made another comedy afetr AAA because its such a difficult generation.
An important thing, this film was not at all flop in India but was an average grosser. Secondly I dont think that promos have something to do with its box offcie business. There was ample and very much curiousty about AAA before its release, as two khans were there for the first time, aslo two rivals karisma and raveena were in front of each otehr for the very first time. But this film took a long time in making. I remember we were hearing its realeae since 1991 and it finally released in the ending months of 1994.
Also yes it was far ahead of its time. I am sure that if this film would release in todays' time it would be a block buster hit.
Another thing that due to long time in process, people's expectations raised high sky and many people were not completely satisfied with AAA's last 25 minutes.
