Hello! I've always wondered why AAA is such an underrated movie? Most people consider it a very puerile comedy, and I'd have to disagree vehemently... The dialogue is very tight. It's very difficult to write comedy, and maintain the level throughout (I've done it). Much more so than tragedy. It's a slapstick, but it never claims otherwise. Most of the people who claim it's a bad movie have never seen the movie!

I'd rank it in my personal top5 movies. Maybe it's not great art, but its one of the most satisfying movies to watch.

Any of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee-Amol Palekar one. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. any other recommendations?

Naseeb is a great comedy-drama. AAA is the funniest movie I've seen from Bollywood. Great casting. Vasco Da Gama ki gun!? What can I say? Hilarious!

On repeated view I find this movie funnier, each time something is unfold, that is the greatness of this movie.

For me the most funniest lines...

"galati se mistake ho gaya"

"Robert: ise kahte hai do shikari ek tir...
Bhall: nahi robert ise kahte hai 2 tir se ek shikar...(how hilarious)

"Bhall: Maine is bomb pe tillu ka nam likh diya hai, bomb fathe hi police to pata chal jayega is ke piche kiska hath hai.

"Mehmood to sallu: do do heroin chalegi? amitabh bap ke role me chalega?

Sallu: "tumne ye topi kaha se li? usa?"
Aamir: "nahi maine yeh topi new york se li"

This is truly a movie you can watch over and over and over...
It seems like everyone in the movie had a great time. Great casting!

I'm laughing just reading the above.....AAA was truly the best Indian comedy for ages....

And it's not "Robert", it's Rabbit.....hahahahahahaha........

I cant agree with u guys more.. Amir has blossomed into a real gud actor with movies like sarfarosh, DCH and lagaan.. and the dialogues r so funny each time i hav watched it i just cant get over the jokes.. this is one of the greates comedies bollywood has produced next to Hera Pheri

Andaz Apna Apna is easily the funniest Bollywood film of the 90s. Could anyone else recommend similar films? I have already seen Gol Maal, Hera Pheri, and Chupke Chupke.

Truly the best comedy in India Cinema next to Hera Pheri in the new generation
I agree that it is extremely underrated and that's why I'm telling all my friends to watch it.. because this truly was the best movie ever. and Salman Khan acted great in this movie as well as everyone else.

hi all,

i have lost count how many times i have seen this movie. and i can still watch many more times.
i dont think its an underrated movie at all. there are sooo many guys who just love this movie and even call it one of the best ( like me ) . you wont find such a devoted fan base for any other movie ( may be sholay).

long live the master .. crime master gogo!!

YUp,,,i cant keep the counts that how many time i have seen this movie and still watch many countless time,,,,,,i know many people who considers it as one of the best comedy bollywood can ever complied,,,,,
Truly i havent seen any movie(comedy) which makes u glued to your chairs,,,
there are so many mesmerizing scenes in the movie i think whole move is full of outstanding dialogues,,,,,,,,and it also reflects reality ( a barber son can only have dreams of wealthy actress falling for him,,,,,,)

I think the film is overrated. It has very silly comedy and for me personally is far from being the best comedy in Hindi cinema. I prefer HERA PHERI, and the old movies Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee used to make. I also loved the black comedy in Shyam Benegal's MANDI.

But did anyone notice the expressions of the guy who is sitting behind Salman and Aamir in the bus , when both of them are lying about their dad's business ...

i also lost the count how many times i watched it...
i remember if somebody asked 'what do u do in your leisure times?'...i simply answered "i watch Andaz Apna Apna".

All I know is that there are a lot,lot of people who still like
and discuss about AAA still,so many years after it's release.
This is rare for any movie.
It has been shown n number of times on satellite tele
AAA still has many fans

ok i must confess i love this movie, i've lost count of how many times i've watched it....but
it has pathetic screenplay,camerawork,cinematography..
and what the hell on earth songs are doing it... they add nothing to story ,,, they are not at all great songs anyway,only forgettable....this is the same problem with hera pheri(i mean songs)....songs r waste of 20 to 30 min. of screentime in movie....
so,i hate to say its not great movie in above sense,but performance wise,dialogues,its funny...and movie "works".... and instead of talking of cinema as "art" this just "entertains" you....with which most of ppl have problem.
i think thats reason it "underrated"
