I watched this movie but I missed the part on how the parents got AIDS. Did they explain how the came in contact with it?

It's been a few years since I've seen it and I've been trying to find the dvd, but I'm pretty sure she had a contaminated blood transfusion, and passed the virus on to her husband and baby.

First time i saw it was a couple of years ago. very sad indeed. if it was the mother that had the virus first - her husband died first, then the baby, and the mother was still alive at the end of the movie, that seems fair. saying that didnt the husband die of cancer?? it also didnt mention if the mother ever did die.

This will update you on what happened to Roxy. She has since died but after Vinnie death she re-married .
She died in 1994. Such a terribly sad thing all round.

This was all a true life story made into a movie. Yes she had aids and yes the baby and husband died of aids.
shareI worked on this film and it was a very difficult shoot due to the subject matter. Roxy was there for the whole shoot. I can't imagine what she went through to relive it all.

You worked on the film? Wow, this was such a great movie. I saw it when it first came out and have seen it several times since. I'd love to find a copy of it. I didn't know she was there for the whole shoot. I've heard she has died since.
