The Ending

I think the music might have something to do with it.

I like to think he didn't end up dying - after all, we were shown quite graphically at the begining that he survived a similar wound, and Nick got him out of there quickly instead of waiting for medics to turn up.

Doesn't stop the tears falling though, but more as Nick realises that the Yakuza is the family he has been searching for all his life - his birth parents let him down, the FBI let him down, only the Yakuza accepted and stood by him.
