How American???

I love these B movie titles, Just how American is the cyborg in this movie? More American than American Kickboxer? More American than American samurai?
As a Brit I always find these titles funny. British Cyborg!!! Sweedish Samurai!!
No other country makes films with there country conected with the main protagonist.
Do Americans like films more when American is in the title??

This film was made in Israel and featured a predominantly Israeli cast. To give it international appeal, the production company felt adding "American" to the title would make it more popular with American audiences. I don't think they succeeded.

Plus, non-Americans are fascinated with the USA. Your post proves this point further. And it got you to watch it, didn't it?

Lol, no. Being British aswell, I reckon he is saying what I am thinking too. That Americans (or anyone who loves the USA by extension) are more likely than most of the rest of the world to have crawled up their own ass and since they need everyone to know how amazing they are they stick 'American!' or 'USA' in front of loads of things like films and such.

Americans kind of deserve being told how much they rock. Afterall, they pretty much saved the entire world from two different hordes in the last century: Nazism and Communism.

Don't speak for another one of your countryman. And while I understand what you're saying, I think your fascination with the perceived arrogance of Americans only validates my point further.

Plus, as I pointed out, this wasn't actually an American film in the first place, so ask the Israelis why they stuck "American" in the title.

Regardless, it got you and your fellow Englishman to respond.
